Chuck Hempstead received the Texas Society of Association Executives' 2012 Distinguished Executive Award.

Increased conference attendance by 20% to nearly 6,000 registrants and a record 376 exhibit booths.  The next year we increased conference attendance by another 18.5% to 7,112 registrants and 415 exhibit booths.

Grew start-up association membership from 77 to 462 members.

Negotiated legislative compromise grandfathering existing participants of a retirement system for a higher state contribution.

Increased sponsorship income by 1,092% in the first year, another 188% in the second year, and successfully collected almost $100,000 in sponsorship income in  fiscal year.

Converted print publications to online distribution saving printing costs. 

Created non-dues revenue sources, including: sponsorships, professional liability insurance, advertising revenue, online education courses, luncheons and networking events.

Developed online registration system for special event of a coalition of eleven non-profit organizations with 500 attendees.

Initiated community relations strategy to increase public awareness.

Negotiated convention center, hotel, transportation, signage, decorating, and food and beverage contracts and scheduled more than 650 breakout sessions for a 7,000-attendee conference.

Developed multiple-year business, marketing and strategic plans.
